flEXiff 2002 – 2022
THE FIFTEENTH AND THE LAST EXPERIMENTAL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

FESTIVAL REGULATIONS
flEXiff is a global community cultural development and screen culture initiative by Cinewest, which expands across 2 decades.  flEXiff accepts entries during 2002 – 2022, whilst the organizers attempt to secure various funding, awards, sponsorships and venues for screenings within the next 20 years. The final selection for each edition may vary in numbers and time frames, as organizers reserve the right to experiment with form and content of the festival at all times.

flEXiff invites image makers and multimedia artists who are willing to;
Disperse their work(s) universally and eternally
Challenge the already existing alternative model structures that are merely a verisimilitude for the mainstream industry
Deconstruct the commercial values projected for particular art works by particular producers, promoters and distributors

AWARDS
A work can be nominated for different categories but may only compete in one category.  International Jury Panel will select the following winners;
Best Short Film Award
Best Feature Film Award
Special flEXiff Award (including Digital Media works)

ENTRY CONDITIONS
All works must register online
No restrictions on genre, length and/or date of production
No restrictions on number of films submitted by the same filmmaker
No Entry Fee required

IMPORTANT NOTE: The festival accepts ‘ONLYYouTube, Vimeo and/or URL link to the film’s full version as PREVIEW FORMAT (Screener).  Countries with no access to fast Internet connections are exempt.  The screener (DVD PAL) for countries exempt must reach the festival by July 10, 2017.

SELECTION NOTIFICATION / PARTICIPATION FORM
The festival will notify the entrants regarding the final selection before July 31, 2017. Upon the selection of the work a participation form will be sent to the distributor or producer to confirm the film’s presence. If the participation form is not returned to the festival in due time, the festival will reserve the right to withdraw the invitation for selected works.

TRANSPORT CONDITIONS
The screening format of selected film must reach Cinewest by September 1, 2017. The festival will not be responsible for any damages caused whilst the work is transported and will not cover any cost for the shipment of film to the festival.
If the producer or the distributor is using international couriers to send the work should use the street address rather than post box address unless it is a registered parcel. Please note that the festival does not cover any custom charges or related costs upon the arrival of the work.
NO COMMERCIAL VALUE / FOR CULTURAL PURPOSE ONLY should be mentioned on the parcel before sending the work. Maximum Value must be less than $20 Australian Dollars.
