4th WOMEN Media Arts and Film Festival is a new screen culture and audience development initiative by Cinewest in partnership with Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Sydney Fringe Festival to be held during September 2018 at the Armory Theatre and Tunnels. The main program consists of award winning short and feature length films and media arts works produced, written and directed by women from Australia and around the world.

ENTRY CONDITIONS & SCREENING FEE
All works must be by women Producer(s), Director(s) and/or Author(s). Co-positions are also accepted.
1. OPEN to all countries and nationalities
1. Must register your work online
2. Accepting only Internet links to preview the works (YouTube/Vimeo)
3. No restriction on genre, length and date of production
4. No restriction on a number of films from the same digital media artist or filmmaker
5. All works with dialogue or text other than english language must have English subtitles
6. Installation works are accepted
7. The festival is competitive and requires no entry fee
8. The festival will NOT pay screening fee for selected works
IMPORTANT NOTE: The festival accepts ‘ONLY‘ Vimeo and/or URL link to the film’s full version as PREVIEW FORMAT (Screener). Countries with no access to fast internet connections are exempt. The screener (DVD PAL) for countries exempt must reach the festival by July 10, 2018.
SELECTION NOTIFICATION / PARTICIPATION FORM
The festival will notify the entrants regarding the final selection before August 2018. Upon the selection of the work a participation form will be sent to the distributor or producer to confirm the film’s presence. If the participation form is not returned to the festival by due time, the festival will reserve the right to withdraw the invitation for selected works.
The screening format of selected film must reach Cinewest by August 20, 2017. The festival will not be responsible for any damages caused whilst the work is transported and will not cover any cost for the shipment of film to the festival.
If the producer or the distributor is using international couriers to send the work should use the street address rather than post box address unless it is a registered parcel. Please note that the festival does not cover any custom charges or related costs upon the arrival of the work.
NO COMMERCIAL VALUE / FOR CULTURAL PURPOSE ONLY should be mentioned on the parcel before sending the work. Maximum Value must be less than $20 Australian dollars.
